Dr. Ian Arnold
M.S.C. MD, MSc, DOHS, CSPQ, FCBOM, FRCPC, CEA, CRSP, Consultant, Workplace Health and Safety and Workplace Psychological Health and Safety
Dr. Arnold completed his M. D. at Queen's University at Kingston in 1968 and, following internship and residency, he practised as a general surgeon for 8 years before entering full-time practice in occupational health. Dr. Arnold chaired the Workforce Advisory Committee (WAC) of the Mental Health Commission of Canada from 2008 to 2012, was a key driver for the CSA/BSI Standard on Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace and worked with the WAC team to develop a systematic approach for mental health peer support in Canada and a report on the Aspiring Workforce. He was a member of Canada’s team developing the Global Standard on Workplace Psychological Health and Safety (ISO 45003) and is now involved in the re-drafting of the Canadian Standard.
